Perfectly purple fertility smoothie
This is one of my absolute favorite fertility smoothies! Wow it’s fresh vibrant and it’s really good for reproductive health as part of a balanced diet. The blackberries, leafy greens and pumpkin seed butter give a great mix of iron, folate and Zinc all fabulous for both male and female fertility so this is one you can share!

The Purple Power Fertility Smoothie is quite possibly my favourite fertility smoothie and would make my top 5 smoothies of any kind. It is perfect any time of the year or day. However I often eat it on my way to work and i feel invigorated and empowered. As with all our fertility smoothies this one follows the golden rules of fertility smoothie and is high in the vitamins and minerals which help support reproductive health.
- 250ml/1 cup coconut water or cold water
- 2 handful raw kale
- 250g /1 3/4 cup of blackberries
- 25g/1/4 cup blueberries
- 2 tbsp raw pumpkin butter
- 2 bananas
- 2 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5-6 ice cubes
This recipe is enough for 2 generous portions of the smoothie. It’s nutritional make up is great for male and female general health as well as containing plenty of zinc, iron, magnesium, antioxidants and folate and vitamin C which are great for male and female reproductive health. Using this as part of a balanced diet will ensure that you get the additional vitamins and minerals you need to maintain good fertility whilst TTC.
The recipe is lovely with water but using coconut water makes it that extra bit special. The combination of blackberries, kale, pumpkin seed butter and honey make this not only delicious but also gives a great balance of vitamins and minerals vital for helping you conceive. I can get all of this at my local supermarkets, however if you can’t get the pumpkin seed butter you can get this awesome pumpkin seed butter from amazon
The black berries in this recipe are superb for Vitamin C; which helps regulate hormones in women and protecting sperm from DNA damage. The zinc and iron are vital constituents of reproductive health in both men and women.

Step by Step Instructions to create the perfect purple power fertility smoothie
If you like this a little frostier, place a banana and blackberries in the freezer for at least 2 hours before making. I put them in when i go to bed so they’re in over night.
Place the banana, kale and half the coconut water or regular cool water in the blender and blitz together.
Place the rest of the ingredients into the blender. Blitz this until all the ingredients are well blended. You may need to do this a couple of times to get a beautiful smooth consistancy.
Pour into a couple of glasses. and drink.
If you’re partner isn’t having the 2nd portion put it in an air tight container and place it in the fridge. Drink within the next 48 hours.
