About the Green Latifah Fertility smoothie
By: Nathan Dippie
The Green Latifah Fertility Smoothie is wonderful. It is a generalised fertility smoothie, whose recipe was created from the golden rules of fertility smoothies. It contains some beautiful leafy greens, in this recipe we use spinich for it’s mild flavour profile, however you can easily replace this with chad or kale. The base of this smoothie uses banana and almond milk. Finally we add some hemp seeds to improve the zinc content and blueberries often known as a fertility superfood both of which contain minerals vital in reproductive health.

Ingredients
- 500ml/2 cups almond milk
- 1 handful raw spinach
- 1 banana
- 25g/1/4 cup blueberries
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- A pinch Ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp honey (optional)
This mixture of ingredients is enough to make 2 portions, one of which you can store for the next day. Having this for breakfast as part of a normal healthy balanced diet can help ensure that you are getting the extra vitamins and minerals which are vital for reproductive health. The spinach and hemp seeds bring iron and zinc which are also fabulous for male fertility. I like to make this a little more frosty so often use a frozen banana and even occasionally add a couple of ice cubes. It’s super refreshing on a summers day. If you’re struggling to find hemp seeds in your super market you can get hemp seeds from amazon
